Family Dog Manners Advanced
One hour a week for 7 consecutive weeks.
Successful completion of Intermediate Manners required.
This class is designed to really work on and strengthen off-leash obedience.
The relationship between you and your dog continues to improve with age and experience. We will continue to concentrate on developing your understanding of the canine mind. Dogs and their humans who have mastered Basic and Intermediate obedience will enjoy this opportunity to take on new challenges and renew or maintain the pleasure derived from working as a team.
What we’ll be working on!
Humans will learn how to increase and keep their dogs attention, as well as continuing with distractions, distance and off-lead work, including:
Sit/Stay - One Minute
Down/Stay - Three Minutes
Down from Stand
Sit from Down
Off leash recall with heavy distraction
Heeling "hands-off" leash - right and left corner heeling, figure 8's & "automatic" Sit and keeping it FUN!
Sit and Down in motion
Leave it (heeling "hands-off" leash thru a course of real food and toys)
Approach and greeting by stranger/Exam by Stranger - Owner/handler out of sight
